Umpiring CoursesIt has been decided to prepare all members for future umpiring stints by sending them on a simple umpire course - hosted by our resident qualified professional Danny Tavender.

Acceptance onto such a course will be decided by the applicants ability to correctly identify the following images:

15 Jul 2009 : Fantasy League is more important than winning!
Following the creation of the Fantasy League it has finally been confirmed that Fantasy League has become the most important thing at the club. The Club Skipper was quoted, following a whale-esque dive from Tavender M. stopped PT taking a wicket which would have been caught by Gene (both of whom are in the Skip's team), as saying 'that's two lots of points you have cost me' and mentioned nothing about the team needing the wicket. Many of the club shared his sentiments

26 May 2009 : Hulks better than Winky???? No!!!!
Hulks better than Winky???? No!!!!Graham Hulks, our King Duck last year struck a mighty 15 against Sparsholt CC on Sunday May 24th 2009. This beats Winky Thompsons 14 scored for the club. This was later refuted after the history books confirmed that Winky's highest score was in fact 16, a total he surpassed recently when making 23 at Hawridge. Hulks was unavailable for comment at the time but our crack paparazzi team snagged the following image of his response.

12 May 2009 : GTA Zeebras win a match!!!!!
On Saturday May9th following a large nught of beer in an Austrian Beer Keller the Zeebras won a match and by god did they win. Finally Mike turned up and showed what he is made of with a club record 206 helping us to 326 run victory!

01 May 2009 : Run Run an Umpire
Run Run an UmpireGTA Zeebras Cricket Club Comittee Member Daniel Tavender has qualified as a level one ECB ACO Umpire. Achieveing the highly creditable score of 86 out 100, Run Run is hoping this should curtail his Playing time sufficiantly for that ridiculous nickname to be dropped.
